Psalm 8 - New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Lord’s Glory and Man’s Dignity.

For the choir director; on the Gittith. A Psalm of David.

 Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth,
Who have [a]displayed Your splendor above the heavens!
From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established [b]strength
Because of Your adversaries,
To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.
When I [c]consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have [d]ordained;
What is man that You [e]take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?
Yet You have made him a little lower than [f]God,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!
You make him to rule over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
All sheep and oxen,
And also the [g]beasts of the field,
The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea,
Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.
Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth!

Psalm 7 - New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Lord Implored to Defend the Psalmist against the Wicked.

[a]Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the Lord [b]concerning Cush, a Benjamite.

Lord my God, in You I have taken refuge;

Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
Or he will tear [c]my soul like a lion,
[d]Dragging me away, while there is none to deliver.
Lord my God, if I have done this,

If there is injustice in my hands,
If I have rewarded evil to [e]my friend,
Or have plundered [f]him who without cause was my adversary,
Let the enemy pursue [g]my soul and overtake [h]it;
And let him trample my life down to the ground
And lay my glory in the dust. [i]Selah.
Arise, O Lord, in Your anger;

Lift up Yourself against the rage of my adversaries,
And arouse Yourself [j]for me; You have appointed judgment.
Let the assembly of the peoples encompass You,
And over [k]them return on high.
The Lord judges the peoples;
[l]Vindicate me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me.
O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous;
For the righteous God tries the hearts and [m]minds.
10
My shield is [n]with God,
Who saves the upright in heart.
11
God is a righteous judge,
And a God who has indignation every day.
12
If [o]a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword;

He has bent His bow and [p]made it ready.
13
He has also prepared [q]for Himself deadly weapons;
He makes His arrows fiery shafts.
14
Behold, he travails with wickedness,
And he conceives mischief and brings forth falsehood.
15
He has dug a pit and hollowed it out,
And has fallen into the hole which he made.
16
His mischief will return upon his own head,
And his violence will descend upon [r]his own pate.
17
I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness

And will sing prai

Como Você se Relaciona com os Outros? (VUJICIC 173 p.)

Matthew 15 - New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Tradition and Commandment

 Then some Pharisees and scribes *came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, “Why do Your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” And He answered and said to them, “Why do you yourselves transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘He who speaks evil of father or mother is to [a]be put to death.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever I have that would help you has been [b]given to God,” he is not to honor his father or his mother[c].’ And by this you invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you:
This people honors Me with their lips,

But their heart is far away from Me.
But in vain do they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’”
10 After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said to them, “Hear and understand. 11 It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
12 Then the disciples *came and *said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were [d]offended when they heard this statement?” 13 But He answered and said, Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted. 14 Let them alone; they are blind guides [e]of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”

The Heart of Man

15 Peter [f]said to Him, “Explain the parable to us.” 16 [g]Jesus said, “Are you still lacking in understanding also? 17 Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is[h]eliminated? 18 But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, [i]fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. 20 These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”

The Syrophoenician Woman

21 Jesus went away from there, and withdrew into the district of Tyre andSidon. 22 And a Canaanite woman from that region came out and beganto cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is cruelly demon-possessed.” 23 But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him, saying, “Send her away, because she keeps shouting [j]at us.” 24 But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 But she came and began[k]to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26 And He answered and said, “It is not [l]good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” 27 But she said, “Yes, Lord; [m]but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus said to her,“O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed [n]at once.

Healing Crowds

29 Departing from there, Jesus went along by the Sea of Galilee, and having gone up on the mountain, He was sitting there. 30 And [o]large crowds came to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; andHe healed them. 31 So the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the crippled [p]restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

Four Thousand Fed

32 And Jesus called His disciples to Him, and said, I feel compassion for the [q]people, because they [r]have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat; and I do not want to send them away hungry, for they might faint on the way.” 33 The disciples *said to Him, “Where would we get so many loaves in this desolate place to satisfy such a large crowd?” 34 And Jesus *said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” And they said, “Seven, and a few small fish.” 35 And He directed the [s]people to [t]sit down on the ground; 36 and He took the seven loaves and the fish; and giving thanks, He broke them and started giving them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people.37 And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, seven large baskets full. 38 And those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 And sending away the crowds, Jesus got into the boat and came to the region of Magadan.
